For some people summer and the beach life is ending for this year. But not for this lucky girl! A few years ago, we retired to our beach property. My husband Brian was literally the driving force. He was ready to leave our home of over thirty years and our big career jobs. He wanted change. Me I was okay either way, for most of our marriage we had two properties. One house where we worked and raised our kids and one at the beach where we unwound ourselves as often as we could before returning to the “work” house.

The truth is that I have easily adapted to beach life, my life is just beachy! It doesn’t matter to me when the season of summer comes and goes, I love fall, winter and spring here too. The ocean never ceases to amaze me. The endless waves as they come and they go are so soothing and both relaxing and energizing. It literally never gets old.

I love water and the sounds of the surf with the waves crashing upon the shore. So, you know when some people respond by saying they are “peachy” well I’ve decided that I am “beachy” and living the dream by the ocean. All that makes my soul sing is right here by the water.

And to quote an old poem that I wrote years ago, “the ocean is always where I left it” so in an ever-changing world I find comfort, peace and tranquility there. Right where I left it and always makes me feel just “beachy” ,,,
